Aberdeen Atoms was born on 4th February 2013.

Originally called 'WTNA' (Working Title Netball Aberdeen), then briefly being 'BB' (still our night out name) the name 'Aberdeen Atoms' came later, once we had decided to enter the Aberdeen netball leagues for the 2013 / 14 season.

At the first training session we only had 10 people, and some borrowed balls and bibs, but it was all that we needed - along with a sense of humour and lots of energy!

We started with the ethos that anyone who wants to be able to play netball really should have the chance, regardless of ability or past experience. It's something we still feel strongly about now, and as a result have a wide range of abilities across the club. All we ask is that people come to training, muck in, and try their hardest - and of course, enjoy it!!

We are open to all females over the age of 18 for league playing, and men and women over the age of 18 who would like to take up the whistle as either a coach or an umpire. We train on a Monday night at Lochside Academy 8 - 10pm.
